FUTURE FAMOUS | Inspired by Andy Warhol’s Silver Factory era and presented during KIWI Arts Group’s “Before They Were Famous: Behind the Lens of William John Kennedy” exhibit, Future Famous by architect Komal Kehar and artistic director Lullu Brandt was designed as a site-specific, ephemeral experience. Similar to how American photographer Kennedy captured Warhol and Robert Indiana on the cusp of fame in 1964, this pop-up project photographed guests at the Future Famous event as if they themselves were also on the verge of stardom. Images were then projected on various public walls throughout the East Side and at Storefront for Art and Architecture in New York.
